Here we are entering the third month since I took over the position of CEO and I cannot believe how fast the time went. It seems like just last week my Dad was in here cracking jokes and bringing his own unique energy to all of us. Seeing him recently really did show the time that has passed – he was wearing shorts and sporting a tan with a relaxed attitude that was slightly unnerving and refreshing to me at the same time.

He asked me the usual questions: how were my kids and how was life at home. But strangely he steered away from the business questions, the ones many of you know well…those little needling questions that always put you on edge but at the same time brought focus to your job. He always found a way to get to those important, uncomfortable questions that kept us on our toes.

But there was none of that. I think that is a testament to each and every one of you. Being able to continue the business and create the opportunity for my father to actually step away, and do so completely free, has been something I never thought I would see in my lifetime – but there it was. His faith in all of you has made that possible, so for that I thank you. As I look back at the last two months I am amazed at all we have accomplished and everything we continue to build upon. I cannot wait to see what the future brings for this company and for all of us. Going forward I hope to use this forum to bring you my thoughts on what’s going on and what’s new.
